How can we order a Rum Cake?
#
You can order a rum cake from the shop section of our website.
How do I store the cakes?
#
To store our cakes, simply place them in an airtight container, in a greaseproof paper or a cellophane wrap.

If you decide to unwrap them, re-wrap in cling-film and store in an airtight container, tin or Tupperware container.
How many slices can you get from our 6” or 8” cake?
#
Our 6 inch (15cm) un-iced Rum Cake provides 7 to 14 slices.

The 8 inch (20cm) un-iced Rum Cake provides 15 to 22 slices.
What kind of alcohol should I use if your cake becomes dry?
#
Traditionally, rum or sherry are all good. Remember to buy the best quality bottle you can afford. We use Wray and Nephew as this is a Jamaican rum cake.

Adding all the booze at once will just saturate the cake and leave it soggy and the flavours won’t develop, so be patient, add little bits at a time and you’ll end up with a beautifully rich rum cake!
Do the cakes contain nuts?
#
Please note that these cakes do not contain nuts, however the kitchen it is prepared in is not a nut free environment.
